I'm assuming that you mean that the unit turns on and makes sound, but the display shows nothing. If that's the case, it could be your LCD. We have a user-contributed guide for replacing the LCD, but we don't sell PSP 1000 parts. Perhaps Ebay or a PSP specialist may have what you're looking for. We definitely have the right tools you need to do the job, though.
