Can I replace iSight Camera as it stopped working?

Hi All,

I have checked all the work arounds related with the software issue but still my iSight camera is not at all detected.

Earlier It started to work all of a sudden, dont know how, but now again it stopped working not even showing in the Profiler.

I went to an apple store and he told me that if its Unibody (Mid 2010) the whole screen needs to be replaced, and we all know how much it costs. At the first itself I guessed he is wrong some where.

I just want to know replacing whole screen is the only solution out there ? or I can still replace the Camera cable or the camera itself.

Regards,

Dhanesh.

Yes, If you have a lot of time and experience its a rather advanced DIY. Your almost doing the same thing as a LCD replacement. Dismantling the display requires lots of patience and some special tools (every job is easier when you use the proper tools). It is much easier to replace the display.

You'll apparently have to find the part other than here... Google is your friend.
