Ive sustained damage to my logic board after water damage. Can anyone tell me if it can be repaired or what the parts which have fallen off do(looks like 2 tiny capacitors?) . Magsafe has green light and battery charges but machine shows no other life signs. any help would be most appreciated thanks

Circled is your missing piece area. Unless you have a nice soldering station, getting those back in with a normal soldering iron is nigh impossible. It can be done, it is just a MAJOR pain with out a pro solder set.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother repairing the logic board. Even if you do find the right piece/s to solder, there is no guarantee that is the only issue at this point.

Not saying you can't TRY to fix it... cap is a lot cheaper than a logic board for this, thats for sure. I just wouldn't be holding my breath that this will fix it.

And I suppose I must spam this... if I helped at all please hit accepted. :)

If a part is broken one should take any measure trying to fix it. It can't get worse ;-)

Hey man! Did you end up trying to to fix this problem? After my MacBook received some water damage I took it apart and noticed the exact same capacitor is missing! (the one closest to the top of the board) do you know what kind of capacitor this is? And did you have any luck fixing yours? Thanks!

FYI that top component with the white dot on it is a fuse.

If it is a fuse that can i jump it directly?

Lovee, bridging a fuse is never a good idea. Remember that there was most likely a reason why it got tripped (failed). It is possible, but not wise to do that. anyhow, I posted an answer to this old question and added a parts description etc. for you.

Looks like this might still be an issue for some. The parts that are missing from the OP's logic board are as follows:

F9800 2AMP-32V 0402-HF Mouser part # 576-0435002.KR

Littelfuse Manufacturer part number 0435002.KR available here here, cost $ 1.00

C9802 0.1UF 10% 16V X5R 402 Mouser part # 81-GRM155R61C104KA8D

Murata Manufacturer part number GRM155R61C104KA88D available here, cost $0.10. Obviously not an expensive repair, but one better have the right tools and good skills to solder those components back on.
