Need to sync my twin side draft carbs and distributer shaft wobble, due to bad brngs in lower part of unit. Can't get low end idle or high end set to work together, one or the other, but not both, due to shaft wobble! Points can be set for one or the other!!

@charlesamos use the Triumph Shop Manual to work on your Spitfire. It is searchable, so it does allow you to find the instructions needed to work on your distributor drive gear, bushings etc. It also addresses the "tuning" of the SU carburettors in detail on page 89 in that manual.
Also check page 173 and more in the Triumph Spitfire MkI MkII Parts Manual. It should help to "Visualize" the distributor a bit better.

Worn distributor shaft bearings probably need either new ones, drilling/reaming out to press fit bearings or machinist to solve bearing slop. Perhaps searching Triumph forums may reveal more info, parts sources, and owners sharing invaluable help.

@charlesamos just to make sure, your Spitfire has the 1296cc (MK3) or the 1147cc (MK2) engine and the original twin SU HS2 carburetors?
