Hello! I’m currently trying to pry open my iPod. I have the tools with me, but it has been a difficult process, I’ve been trying since yesterday. I guess the right side and the bottom are good, but I’m struggling to get the left side. Any tips? Thanks!

@ceciliaa_37 - It's not easy for sure! If we look at the top cover and how it's clipped on as you can see here in this image IPod Catch
We can see the catches along the sides the trick is to unlatch them on a side all together! This is where a a broad putty knife is needed as showin in the iPod Classic 前面板更换 guide in Step 4.

CAREFULLY slide one of those two tools in the first image as far as you can. Then try using the other to leverage the backplate off.

You really don't want to insert the tools to deep here! That won't help you unclip the catch's on the sides.

@ceciliaa_37 this model is a bear to open. You will find that most of the clips with be bend by the time you have it opened. I prefer a putty knife with a more rigid blade to loosen the clips for the cover. Review step 4 of the guide iPod Classic电池更换
