USB-C ports not working even after board replaced
Hi. A few weeks ago my macbook pro fell off the sofa directly onto the usb charging cable. The cable broke and the macbook started behaving oddly, it was saying the cable was still plugged in and charging even after I'd removed it. I restarted the macbook and it eventually showed correctly that nothing was plugged in but then when I did plug in a working usb-c cable nothing happened, there was no charging or recognition I'd plugged anything in, on either port.
I used apple diagnostics and it said that it couldn't detect any usb ports at all. I assumed that meant that the usb internal board was damaged somehow or maybe the connector was jolted loose when it fell. I opened up the case and the usb connector to the main board seemed seated.
So I bought a new usb connector for the A2338 model. I went through the ordeal of removing the logic board and replacing the usb port then re-connecting everything. It all turned on fine but still the macbook cannot detect any usb port. Does this mean that something else is damaged? Hopefully someone can give me more insight. My battery is down to 10% now so I'm not sure how much else I can do with it on. Many thanks
