RT on Dualsense not working following joystick replacement

I've just replaced the joysticks and the right trigger just is not working at all. I've replaced the ribbon cable with another one from another bdm 010 controller but still not working sadly.

Grateful for any advice on how to check for a short or anything. This is my 2nd joystick replacement (first time on bdm010) I've got a multi meter

I am still buying replacement ribbon cablss from AliExpress just in case.

I have tried also:

switching the trigger modules and cleaning the membrane

cleaning the whole board with 99% isopropyl

hard resetting the controller
