The 2004-2008 F-150 truck was introduced in January 2003 for the 2004 model year as the redesigned eleventh generation of the F-150 lineup.

So my air conditioner just went out on my 2007 for f150

Air went out in my 2007 ford f150. Its not freon. It cant be the blower motor because it is blowing just blows hot. I not it could be a couple of things, but I want to know what the main thing that would cause this.

Hi @kayla87236

Turn on the engine and let it idle and then switch on the A/C and listen if you can hear a clunk as it turns on. (you may need two people, one to turn on the A/C and the other standing next to the engine (with the hood open) to hear it).

If you don't hear a clunk sound this means that the A/C electric clutch is not working. The clutch is used to connect the A/C compressor to the rotating engine serpentine belt, turning the compressor, which pumps the Freon to create the cold temperature.

There is no main reason why it wouldn't work, as you say there are several possibilities e.g. a faulty A/C relay (R202 in the engine fuse box), a faulty A/C diode (D101 in the engine fuse box) a faulty A/C clutch, a wiring problem or worst case would be a faulty compressor.

If you do hear a clunk sound you may have to check that the compressor is OK and that the sealed system is working at the correct pressure. How do you know that the Freon is OK? Did you test its pressure with the compressor turning?
