well im in school and the one of the imac computers iurns on and nothing shows up on the screen could it be the video card or the lcd screen or what me and a teacher need answers if any body knows a web site i can go to thats not blocked from the school computers it would help alot

Try starting up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and holding down the "C" key. That failing hook it up to an external monitor and see if you get anything. Is the screen black or white or something else? Do you get a start up tone? Please give us the last three figures of your serial number located on the bottom of the stand. Thanks

I jut replaced my hard drive and when I boot up I can hear it reading from the CD but there is no display. I have an iMac model A1311 EMC 2308
