Newly replaced battery no longer charging

This year my C340-14API's battery died, would not turn on whatsoever, fair enough, I've had it for a while.

I replaced the battery (L18C4PF3 15.4V, 45Wh) totally new with same specs, and it worked out just fine for the first day, before running out of battery and refusing to power on again, however, this time it would work when it's AC adapter was plugged in.

Now it will now only run at a constant 0% with a charging symbol.

It seems to recognize that there is a battery, and that there is a charger connected, but the two are not working together.

All drivers are up to date, BIOS up to date

It has been a few months since I've replaced the battery, nothing I've looked into has fixed the issue, not a huge bother, just a bit annoying.

Am I missing something, did I fry something? I'm not sure how to solve this.

Hi @sdv0

If you haven't already done so, try uninstalling the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method battery drivers in Device Manager and then restart the laptop in the normal manner.

During the following startup, Windows will reinstall the drivers.

Check if everything now works OK.

To get to Device Manager in Win10/Win11 press the Win key + x key (both together) and click on the Device Manager link in the menu box that opens.

When in Device Manager go to Battery → right click on the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method battery entry → Uninstall device
