Intermittent power button issue after battery replacement

I recently purchased the battery replacement for the switch from ifixit and did the battery swap. I am just finishing the calibration now but I am having a weird issue I can't figure out. The power button on the unit is now only responding intermittently. The volume buttons work all the time though.

Things I have tried

Opened the console back up and pulled the power buttons out and cleaned the board

Holding the power button for 20 seconds, waiting 20 seconds and turning back on

Not sure if there is anything else I can try before ordering the new power button cable.
