How do I factory reset this laptop, without having to login?

I tried to use the system repair through the f8 at the Dell logo when it is turning on, but it asks me for the admin password or the user password but I don't know it since my mother got it from a pawn shop. And i can not type in administrator in the user name. So how do I get around this.
