Repair guides and support for Nespresso Inissia coffee machines.

Not pumping brew. Actually a magimix but looks similar.

All lights functioning and heater getting hot.

Block Image

Pump not operating.

I've opened the unit and ay the side of the pump there is what I believe is a resistor soldered to the side of the pump but I'm not sure as it doesn't have the usual coded rings. Anyways it looks burnt. Would this be the reason I'm not getting any coffee flowing?

If it is can someone advise me exactly what it is and it's property values so I can get a replacement?

Thanks all.

This part is a thermal fuse.
If the pump runs too hot, the thermal fuse will "blow", i.e. it then has no electric conductance anymore and the pump will stop working. This is irreversible, and the thermal fuse then has to be replaced.

You can check if it is still ok, by simply measuring the resistance across this resistor (thermal fuse):
If it is ca. 0 Ohm, then it is still ok.
If it is OL (open line), i.e. infinite resistance, then it is blown.

When replacing, take care with temperature. You don't want to blow it right again when soldering it into place.

Try to clamp it. If you do solder it, then be quick about it and/or apply a rather big piece of metal (e.g. pliers) that will draw the heat away from the new thermal fuse.
