Upon arrival (2024 October 21) the battery bank included with the FixHub Portable Soldering Station was at 82%. I charged it and used it once (maybe 2 hours), recharged the battery, and the self-reported health is at 82%. This seems abnormal for minimal use and age while being kept inside.
Is this a faultly battery and should it be exchanged it for another one?

I had the same issue with my (my hub did have another issue too that I returned for a refund [control knob was working intermittently).
But iFixit support provided the following.
The battery, being new, is still in the process of calibration. You can follow the battery health reset guide, but over time that percentage will likely go up, as the battery learns more about the charge-discharge behavior.

As part of the troubleshooting of the other issue that my had I had to disassemble the hub (FixHub 便携式电站 UI 板更换) and when the battery was reconnected the battery health read as 100% again.

I would guess it sounds about right. That would translate into about 8 hours per charge, assuming a recharge at ~20%.
For longest life, they should run between 20-80% charge. Many android devices have a button to stop charging at 80%.
Also, 82% charge is actually a little high for a Li-ion battery in a new device. They are usually around 50%. They are best stored between 50-65%.
