LED on rear stopped working after housing replacement

I replaced the housing of an iPhone XR not too long ago and one thing I noticed is that the LED on the back does not turn on anymore, I have an option on the phone to turn on the torch but it does not work. However, there is not currently a rear camera installed but i did not think this would affect this, the flex cable connecting to the LED is not broken, as the volume up and down are still working as well as the back microphone.
