DVD in slit play button lit up but flashes blinking green light over play button and DVD won't play what do I do?

Please confirm the make and model number of your dvd player?
Has the dvd disc worked OK in the player before?
Have you tried playing a different dvd disc, just in case it is a faulty disc?
