LG OLED55B16A doesn't turn on, status LED off as well

Hi everyone,

I need help diagnosing a problem with my LG OLED55B1. The TV stopped turning on and there's no response from the status LEDs either.

I left it unplugged for several days but nothing changed when I plugged it back in, and I also tried resetting by holding down the ON button.

I found the service manual to test the power supply:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/307899...

All the pins on P201 are okay except 12VT_ON which is at 0V. This value should be 7.8V in standby mode, right?

Is it possible to jumper connectors to simulate turning on the power supply and check this value? Or do you have any idea what else I could test?

Thank you for your help, I really want to be able to fix this TV which is 2 and a half years old and avoid having to buy a new one!

Hi @arthf

You said "All the pins on P201 are okay except 12VT_ON which is at 0V", are you saying that you're measuring voltages on the other nominated pins on P201?

If so, just wondering how if the TV doesn't turn on as usually there's no other voltages present in standby mode, except the standby voltage as the power board hasn't been turned on by the mainboard, unless the TV is on but there's no power light and no noticeable activity i.e. no display and no audio

But yes, in standby mode there should be 7.8V on the P201 12VT pin only
