W124 is the Mercedes-Benz internal chassis-designation for the 1984 to 1995/96 version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, as well as the first generation to be officially referred to as E-Class. The W124 models replaced the W123 models after 1984 and were succeeded by the W210 E-Class after 1995. In North America, the W124 was sold for the 1985 through 1996 model years.

I have disconnected the battery, and the car won't start

I disconnected the battery to work on the car and replace the AC blower controller. After finishing the car assembly and reconnecting the battery, the car cranks but does not start. The car was working perfectly, and I just replaced the spark plugs and cables. Any advice? I think the alarm system might somehow be blocking the car. I've tried locking and unlocking the car again, but the engine still won't start. Thanks for your advice

If MB has its own factory security system, is there an indicator informing you of its various modes (off, on, blinking, flashing)? Any owner's manual info about security? If security is not preventing engine startup, then you may be diagnosing; fuel, ignition or both. Try separating factory immobilizer from starting issues to narrow the problem down.
