Pc goes on but no signal

Hi,

Few months ago I built a PC and it worked fine when I tested it. Today, I come back to it but the pc doesn't work anymore. The only difference between those tests is the CPU cooler, which I had previously taken from another PC to test this one. First thinking the new cooler was the problem, I tried 2 different coolers but none of them made it work.

The pc turns on but there's no display, the leds which indicate problem (i don't know how those are called) don't turn on, I don't hear any beep. The only visible problem may be the fans which spin super fast and are petty loud.

I've tested all the components in other PCs and they all worked fine. I rechecked numerous time the cables inside the PC.

During the few months the PC was not moved, it was in a dry space and stored in a closed box.

If someone have a solution I can try, it would really help me out, thank you

Just confirming that there is a system speaker connected to the motherboard system panel connector as seen on p.1-17 of the user manual

The speaker may look not like this one but the speaker cable plug will be the same as it has to fit correctly onto the motherboard's connector header pins

It sounds like there may be a problem with the graphics card or the motherboard. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check that your monitor is properly connected to your graphics card or motherboard. Make sure the cable is securely plugged in on both ends.
  2. Try removing and reseating the graphics card or RAM modules. Sometimes these components can come loose during transportation or storage.
  3. Check that the power supply is properly connected and providing enough power to all components.
  4. If you have an integrated graphics card, try removing the dedicated graphics card (if installed) and connecting your monitor directly to the motherboard.
  5. Try resetting the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and then putting it back in.

If none of these steps solve the issue, it may be necessary to take the PC to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.
