No signal after charging port repair

Performed a charging port repair on a iPhone 13 and after the repair there was no signal. I assumed that the device was damaged during repair and returned the original parts to the device only to discover the device could receive signal again. Did I overlook something in the repair? was my part defective? not sure what to take away from this at this point.

Maybe start off by checking if the phone has service with the old part, if it does then the new part is likely the issue. If not then then it's probably separate from the new charging port
