I changed the battery on my MacBook, and somehow I broke off the connector to the motherboard from the speaker. The left speaker dosen't work now, which I don't care about. But the screen never goes to sleep. Im not trying to solder it back on, but im wondering if I can change something in the internal settings, so only the right magnet needs to be activated?

Can you post a few pictures of the damaged area. There is no means to over-ride the lid detection system as it’s part of the SMC logic not the within the OS. Yes, the OS knows when it’s active but it’s a notification not a control signal.

I took off the connector to the motherboard, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it. I just made my computer turn off automatically after 1 minute, so that's a workaround.
