I sent my iphone to have the screen replaced, power button and back case, they managed to get it boot up but after a while it just white screened.
I have now been told the battery has expanded =/
Anyone know why this happened? Is this because someone does not know how to replace the parts properly / damaging the board in the process?
what would have most likely caused the battery to do that?

Can you get your self to an Apple store for them to check it out? It could be you had a bad battery (internal short). You could also give them a call.
Don't charge it now as it could cause a fire!
