s it safe to test it if its working again

hi there , my microwave had an electric shock not to sure but came out smoke . hwat happened is it was loadshedding and i was warming up food so once electricity went i forgot to switch if off and when it came back on it the microwave was on also as i forgot to switch it off so it came out smoke out and made an electric sound so i switched it off and nver tested it again to see if it was working again as i was scared it could blow up or something , its been months now so is it safe to test it if its working again ?
