Do I have a shorted CPU?
Working on a Switch, and troubleshooting shows that the caps shown in attached photo are shorted. From my amateur understanding of the Switch motherboard layout, this suggests that the CPU might be toast. Are there any other component that could cause these caps to be shorted?
The switch was working fine, left in the docking station, and sometime during that time it failed. I noticed the issue by seeing it had a blue screen and some errorcode, but being placed in the docking station I could not read it out. As soon as i removed it from the docking station to see what the text said it shut down and has since not been able to restart.
Following some guidelines on this here fine forum and also YT videos I found these are the only caps being shorted.
Any and all advice is welcomed.

Did you prove that the capacitors were short circuit and not that you were measuring a parallel path around the capacitors i.e. did you test them whilst they were still connected "in circuit"?
To really know you have to unsolder and disconnect at least one side of the capacitor from the board and then test it in isolation.
If there's no indication of power on the board, start at the power input (or battery) and go forward from there checking for power at various point.
Can't see it too well in the image but are you sure that they're capacitors as there's no markings on them or the board so they may be something else, resistor, inductor, diode etc?

Sorry, the capacitors themselfs are not shortcircuted. There is a connection to ground on each side of the capacitors (Yes they have been removed and the issue still persists) Therefor I wounder if there is an IC or other component somwhere that could be the culprit that is not the CPU.

Without a schematic it is difficult.
The best I can suggest is to trace the "non earth" side of the capacitors to the next component and disconnect it and check if the earth stays or goes.
Hopefully both of them will eventually lead to the same area and maybe it won't be the processor but some other component that is also connected to earth but is short citcuit.
