I have an iPhone 4s that is only 1 month old, but has water damage and Apple won't replace under warranty. I have access to an iPhone 4 with broken screen. Can the back of the iPhone 4 be combined with the front of the iPhone 4s? Any thoughts on how to combine?

The iPhone 4S screen will only fit onto a Verizon iPhone 4, and only after one of the tabs are modified. If you have an AT&T iPhone 4 then the 4S display assembly will never fit.

Yes.
You see, the hooks on the screens are a separate piece. You see, the if you remove the frame and replace it with the frame that fits the 4S, then there shouldn't be a problem with replacing the screen.
It's held with a pretty strong adhesive, so I'd be careful with removing the frame.
