How did you try to turn it on, with the remote control or the TV power on button (if it has one) or both?
if it only has the remote as an option have you checked if the batteries in the remote are OK or even that it is working by testing it using a digital camera?
@gregorykauffman now I know you are not the OP of this question :-). Your TV have the same issues? Standby light is on , but the tv does not switch on? What have you checked? What have you tried? your Changhong Television is model number Ud492014060739?
