Hi Ahmed,

My son has an old VitaMix blender that was having a similar problem; I finally diagnosed it as the screws on the bottom of the housing had loosened over time allowing the motor to drop slightly to the point where it wasn't high enough to engage the splines on the container and spin the chopping blades.

Assuming you've categorized your device correctly and we are indeed looking at a BlendTec Total Blender, then the teardown clearly shows that the hole where the splined shaft on the container goes into is directly connected to the motor, so if the motor is turning, then the part that drives the blade assembly has to be turning as well.

With the jug off, turn on the blender and you should definitely see that part spinning.

Make sure it's sticking up out of the base by about the same amount you see in the picture; if not you may have to open it up and check the mounting screws that hold the motor in place.

If everything looks good there then the problem has to be in the blade assembly itself. Take hold of the splined shaft on the bottom of the container and spin it by hand. The blades should turn with it; if not, something's loose in the blade assembly. Stick a wooden spoon into the container so it blocks the blades from turning and verify that the shaft also is blocked.

That's it for my attempt at diagnosis; go through and try these things and let us know what you find. If it still isn't working, we'll figure out your next step should be.
