Why will my phone charge or turn on?
I have had i plugged it in for a couple hours pressed buttons and it won't turn on or charge.

Have you tried using another known working, compatible charger or charger cable or connected it to the USB port of a computer to see f it starts to charge and then turns on?
Use a strong light and a magnifying glass and check that the charge port enclosure is not blocked with lint etc. which may prevent a good electrical connection to the charger cable. If it is do not use a metal pin to try and clear it as you may damage the pins inthe port. Use a vacuum cleaner to try and clear it.
If it still doesn't indicate that it is charging it may be a loose or faulty USB charge port. The phone is prehistoric in mobile terms. First thing I would do is replace the battery.
