Issue with logic board, display or LVDS cable?
I have a MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015. One day I came back home to find my built in display glitching.
First, the image would flicker and shift sideways to the left, leaving the right most part of the screen black.
Restarted the computer, the screen kept doing the same thing, then it started showing artifacts on the screen, where a few pixels on the screen would change color randomly and then it turned completely black. Haven't been able to get an image on the built-in display since.
The backlight still works, (I can increase and decrease brightness) and when connected to an external display via HDMI everything works perfectly.
Built-in display is still detected by macOS.
I should also mention that 1 year ago, I dropped my Macbook on the floor and had the black screen issue. Fixed it by reseating the LVDS cable.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this issue? Is it a faulty screen? Logic board? Or LVDS cable?
