1 Screen flickering and then screen goes black
My 2016 15” MacBook Pro's screen flickers and then screen goes black. Does anyone found a solution for this. I'm told to replace the screen for 60INR by the service centre.

The only way is to have it repaired, but it will cost over 700 USD and the technician might not even know what's the problem. Therefore, I would recommend trade in your laptop for a 700 dollar for Apple gift card and upgrade to a new MacBook Pro with M1 Chip. That's what I did to solve this issue.

Hi!
If you are comfortable with opening your MBP and know how to do micro soldering then you can try to repair the backlight cable which can cause the issue if it breaks. The cable in the 2016 & 2017 models were too short and every time you open the screen the backlight & camera cable wears out. Since Apple realized in 2018 that they messed up, they quietly changed the length on the 2018+ models. This cable can not be removed from the screen, that's why it is such a pain to fix.
If you get the screen replaced, I am pretty sure they put in a display with a longer cable.
