The backlight on my MacBook has gone due to water damage and non of the fix’s I’ve seen so far seem to work
I know it is the backlight that has gone as the screen still works if a light is shone through the back
I have attached some pictures of where I think the damage is. Any help would be appreciated.

Elio Ponti looks like the logic board 820-3115 from a Apple MacBook Pro 13" A1278. First you need to identify your computer for us to make sure we have the right information. Next you want to stop using it. It does not look all that healthy and messing with power on etc. could just spell the end of this board. After that, remove the board and clean it properly with some high grade (+95%) isopropyl alcohol. At minimum you need a couple of caps replaced, as well as the display data connector. Also, pull the display cable and see what that looks like. I would think it has some damage as well. Again, clean up first and do not turn it on anymore until fixed.

i just looked boardviews and looked like an 820-3115
@tech_ni yes you are right. it is a 820-3115. I'll let my answer reflect this. Look slike at minimum C9020, C9796 and L9080 are toast. I fear there is more damage on the connector (both ends) What do you think?
@oldturkey03 definately a new lvds connector needed, caps possibly but would change them anyway, hard to say about the inductor. maybe a damaged cable aswell
