Pixel 3 won't charge; suggestions for booting/retrieving data?
Hi,
I have a Pixel 3 that no longer charges and has run out of batteries. I noticed shortly before it did that it was at 1% battery. When I plugged it in (or used the wireless charger), the charging symbol turned on and it stayed powered indefinitely, but the % charge never went up. I should have copied my data off—only one thing I need—but instead I attempted to reboot. It powered down and now won't turn on, display anything, or charge.
Any suggestions on how I might get it to power up long enough to copy some data off?
I've removed the back and wireless charging coil successfully, but have stopped there. I honestly don't care if the device ever charges again or survives the process overall, but I also don't really have any ideas on what to do from here.
Thanks for any help!

Can you try to safely take out the battery (without destroying it)?

@andrewsawesome I think I can. I've disconnected it, though, and that had no effect; are you thinking of getting a pre-charged battery and trying to boot off that? Or something else?

Just verifying that there are no previous backups in the cloud that you could use?

@puk I was thinking of soldering a power supply to the terminals on the BMS board, but a pre-charged battery would probably be easier.

@jayeff That's correct. (It's unfortunately not really eligible for cloud backup except manually, which is why I should have done that before I powered down.)
