Hi @sandg ,

What is the model number of the refrigerator?

It could be a number of things e.g. clogged condenser coils, faulty defrost system etc.

You may have to relocate the contents of the refrigerator so that it can be turned off to allow the ice to melt so that once it has all melted away you can see where it starts to ice up when it is turned on again.

Also check inside the freezer compartment for ice build up on the evaporator unit. Remove the panel inside at the back of the compartment to expose the evaporator unit and the evaporator fan. Access is through the door at the front.

If there is ice build on the evap unit, do not use a hair dryer on hot to melt it as you could damage it as it is used to operating at temps below freezing. Allow the ice (if any) to melt naturally aided occasionally by using a hair dryer on the coolest setting for only a short while to speed things up a bit.
