Is it possible to upgrade the SSD in the latest MacBook Air (2018)

This is frustrating. The question is "Is it possible to upgrade the SSD in the latest MacBook Air (2018)" and I am not seeing an answer to that question but a possible answer to a different model. Can anyone answer the posed question? I have a MacBook Air 2018 13" and I would like to replace the SSD memory.

I just replaced the batteries in my MacBook 15" 2015 and it was easy to slide out the board. I am wondering if it is just as easy with the MacBook Air 2018 13".

Unfortunately no. Storage in this model, and most MacBooks 2016 forward and (with a few exceptions) have the SSD components soldered directly onto the logic board. If this were just 1 year earlier, then yes it would be a piece of cake since the 2017 Airs still had removable storage modules. But not so on any of the Retina Air models.

Sadly, the RAM and storage is soldered on the 2018 and newer MacBook Airs which you can see in this 2018款13英寸Retina版本MacBook Air拆解
