Craftsman 917.289221 lawn tractor transaxle losing power

My lawn Craftsman 917.289221, (may be also considered a YTS3000?) loses any motion when the transaxle gets hot and must cool for hours to recover motion. I’m looking for a Service manual to help me work on the transaxle to change the fluid. So far my research tells me I’d have to drop the transaxle and open a fill plug under the cooling fan and tip over the trans axle to empty oil and reverse procedure to refill oil. Any recommendations would be welcome and Thank you in advance.
