My LG NanoCell 55 is showing white spots

Does anyone know if this is normal? I contacted LG company already but they said it’s normal

I’m still worried because the warranty is about to end.

Hi,

Post some pictures of the problem in your QUESTION. Here's how to do this on Ifixit Adding images to an existing question

hsoon_cool white spots are never normal. LG has had issues with bad backlight LED's so we need to see what your spots look like. Go with what @jayeff is recommending.

Thanks to you @jayeff & @oldturkey03 , I'm going to contact them again and escalate the things up.

hsoon_cool not normal. Looks like either your backlight array has moved from the edges or your reflector strips/diffusers have warped. Time to disassemble the panel and take a look at things that don’t « look »normal

@hsoon_cool ,

I agree with @oldturkey03.

It's looking like a LED backlight problem.

Definitely NOT normal so if still no good response again from the person you contact at LG customer service then escalate your concern to the service manager. Maybe also send them an email with the images to show what it is.
