@lbaltimore luckily the EasyShare cameras are all very close in disassembly. Even so not for your exact model, this guide Kodak Easyshare C183 Lens Assembly Replacement will get you to the point that you can remove the center pin that holds the battery door to the frame.
Careful since there commonly is a small torsion spring on the hinge pin and the door. Take a good look at how it is seated. Taking pictures will always help with that.

It is quite simple, but there are little tiny screws and some dexterity required!
to replace the battery door, you need a super small screwdriver (I've used both an eyeglass size and the screwdriver that came with my son's tech deck!) . you'll have to unscrew all of the small screws that hold on the back of the camera. remember which screws go to which hole - because some are longer than others. once the screws are out, you'll have to gently pry off the cover. carefully - you dont want to crack the camera case. you'll also want to be careful not to touch the sensor, which will be exposed with the case off.
