Why won't my iFixit Battery Charge?

I purchased an iFixit Battery kit for my iPhone XS. In following the repair video, the battery replacement was no sweat. I was able to get everything re-assembled and working.

I booted up the phone with the new battery. Out of the box, the new battery was showing about 20% charge. Following the instructions, I hard reset the phone then placed it on corded charge for 2 hours. The battery level did not increase,

Figuring I needed to use the phone a bit, I took it off the charge to draw down the battery. Once at 12%, I plugged it in overnight. I woke up to an 11% charged battery.

To rule out a lightning cable/charge port issue, I placed the phone on an inductive charger. Again, while the battery indicator shows a charge, the phone would not charge on the inductive charger either.

Thinking it might have to do with battery calibration, I expended the battery completely this morning and have placed it both on the inductive and corded charger. Both show that they’re charging, but are not.

I’ve taken the phone apart again and re-seated the battery connection. Upon inspection, no pins are bent in either the phone or battery connector. I currently have the phone on the inductive charger (20 minutes so far) and - while it shows its charging - it will not turn on.

I’m worried the battery may be defective. Can someone provide any advice? Unfortunately I do not have a way to measure draw - but both the corded and inductive chargers indicate they are charging and the phone confirms this… However the phone does not appear to be charging.
