Kitchenaid KRFC704FBS freezing up, temperature control not working

I am so fed up with issues relating to my Kitchenaid KRFC704FBS not functioning properly. I am having issues with the top refrigerator section only, the bottom freezer works like a charm. Like others have previously mentioned, I noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling properly a year or so ago and I contacted my home warranty about this, as well as my ice maker not working, and they sent out a technician on multiple times to try to get the issues resolved. At first, a technician just came and inspected my ice make and ordered a new one. He said everything else seemed ok but it was not. I’ve disconnected my refrigerator to get the ice to melt as well as taken my blow dryer to it because the ice just builds up so much. On the most recent visit a few months ago, the technician actually replaced the fan/unit that was inside the refrigerator (located just behind the cheese tray and produce drawers. It was working marvelously after that for about one month, and to be honest, it was actually too cold that it would freeze my water and produce. Technician came out again and said everything appeared ok and he even repositioned the thermistor before he left . Upon leaving, he told me the temp had to be set to the recommended 37 degrees. When I opened the refrigerator sometime later, I noticed that it was set at 33 degree and adjusted it. When I came back to open the door later, I noticed that it was at 33 degrees once again. Needless to say, when we change the temp, it will always go back to 33 soon after. This definitely explains why it could be freezing up again NOW since it’s set to freezing temperature. I’ve tried to get the technician to come back and he hasn’t made it out so I’d like to know what exactly needs to be replaced to properly control the temperature, a new control board? I have no idea about any of this so any insight would be greatly appreciated .
