Does anybody knows if you can replace the thunderbolt display 250W PSU with an imac 27 2011 250W PSU? looks like the shape and connectors are similar, an this part costs less than a half than thunderbolt power supply , anybody has tried this ?

The Thunderbolt display power supply is very different than the 2011 iMac. See for your self here
You need to use the correct unit as the connections are different.
