Whats wrong with my Blu Advance

My blu advance was working fine till recently, the screen turns blank and sometimes gets stuck on the “blu” start-up screen. I took the battery out, replaced it with a new one and nothing happens still blank. I plug the charger and the charging icon appears on and off. Now it doesn’t appear at all. I need to transfer my files from this phone to another Blu advance phone I happen to have. I can’t even get it to show the reset prompt, I press the on button and nothing, I plug it to my computer and nothing, I took the sim card out and put it in the newer phone, does this have anything to do with the old phone not working properly?
