I replaced the screen and battery on my iphone 6s with the kit from ifixit. The battery is working very well. The screen is not as responsive as my cracked screen was. Sometimes when I tap on the screen it just doesn’t respond. Would that happen if I didn’t plug all of the cables back in firmly enough? Is it a faulty replacement screen?

Could be any of the two issues you describe. Best thing to do first is re-open the iPhone and check the connections, but also check the ribbon cables to make sure they didn’t got damaged during the installation. If everything is fine, you’ll have most likely received a bad screen, you contact iFixit directly for a replacement :-) they don’t read the support forums.
