Flashlight works but Flash on the camera doesn't?

Hi, I recently replaced the back glass on an 11 pro max, and am having an issue where the flashlight will work, but when I go and engage the flash (yes I know how to do it with the new dropdown menu) it acts as if it hasn’t engaged it at all and just takes a picture normally without flash. Has anyone had this issue? Usually the flash either works or it doesn’t, I’ve never had it be this way before. Thanks
