Screen flickers around the edges after screen and battery replacement
I replaced the screen and battery following gidelines (1st G surface book performance base). Now I have it all asembled ready to attach the screen with the double side tape all around the inside edges. But I’m testing it first, and all works fine except for some level of flickering on the screen around the edges. Is that because is not completely sealed yet? I reattached the cables on the screen a few times, same result. I appreciate any advise. I think is fixed but double checking about this before sealing it.
Well done testing before you seal the device! I'm not sure if sealing it would resolve the problem. Are you testing the device with the screen set in place? You can try cleaning the screen connector socket with high concentration isopropyl alcohol and make sure there is no debris.
