Battery charging slows down after passing 90%
Hi! I recently finished a battery replacement on my Retina MacBook 2015 and it went very smoothly. I followed all the steps in the guide and made sure I was careful when performing the repair. I hooked up the Mac to low voltage power after the repair as well, so I’m pretty sure I avoided any potential logic board damage there. What I’m noticing now is that the battery charges as expected from 0% up to about 90%, and then begins charging very slowly. According to coconutBattery, it’s charging with 2-4 watts after 90%, which seems really low to me. It seems unlikely that there is logic board damage because it charges correctly for the majority of the charge cycle, but I’m not sure. Is this normal behavior for battery charging or should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.
