Charging over 100% New Battery
Why is it recommended by ifixit to charge the new battery over 100% for 2 hours?

With any new battery it’s recommended to let it drain completely and then charge it up to 100%.

Thank you for replying. I changed the battery and charged it up to 100% for about an hour because I needed to bring it to work, but I used it until it died and then charged it back up to 100%. It seems to be working splendidly now.
