Replacing 820-1889-A (mid '06) by 820-2279-A (late '07) MB logic board

Hi.

I am selling parts of my old Late 2007 MB062LL/B Macbook (its display, keyboard, tracking pad and dvd/cd reader/recorder are broken but the macbook is working with external monitor, keyboard and mouse).

One guy that have a Mid 2006 MA472LL/A Macbook 2006 with broken logic board wants to buy my Macbook to seize its logic board, but he needs help to know how to do the replacement.

This almost answear my question: MacBook Mid 2007 logic board in a MacBook Late 2007?

But we want to make sure the replacement will work, what more we need (energy star cable? any epecific tool?), etc.

Thanks in advance!

@danj What do you mean? MB062LL/B is my Macbook with working logic board and MA472LL/A is my customer Macbook with broken logic board. I need details on how to use my Macbook logic board inside my customer's Macbook.

@cawecoy - There are two different MB062LL/B boards and only one will work in the MB062LL/A

@danj what 2 different boards? As far as I know, the MB062LL/B has a 820-2279-A board and the MA472LL/A has a 820-1889-A. The guy in this video says they are different, but in the comments he says the "essential" difference is the energy star / non-energy star battery connector socket. So I guess the replacement would work, except for the battery. I want to confirm that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoP2h27U...

As I tried to explain there is a bit more involved here. The MB062LL/B was offered in two different configurations

The Santa Rosa logic board won’t work in the 13” MacBook 2.0 GHz Core Duo
