iPhone 6s Plus stuck in headphone mode (read description)

I’m attempting to repair an iPhone 6s Plus which I got for £50 an absolute steal. The phone looks as if it has never been opened before as the internal and the external condition is immaculate. There seems to be no indication of water damage either. But despite all this the phone is stuck in headphone mode when there are no headphones plugged in. I tried cleaning out the headphone jack which was also looked completely clean beforehand but this was obviously too simple to have worked the first attempt. I then replaced the entire lightning port/headphone jack flex TWICE once with a generic replacement and once with an original Apple one but this didn’t work. I tried cleaning the connectors with acetone, 99% isopropyl and made sure it fully evaporated before testing but this didn’t work either. other things to mention are that if I only touch the right half of the connector to the logic board then the speaker works, when I do plug in headphones (I tried 3 working pairs) only the left side works, the mic works and speaker on calls works as well. I have no idea what to do or what’s causing this problem please please help. One more thing is that I live in London and very far from any micro soldering repair shops (I can’t micro solder).

thanks in advance to anyone who can help :)

Your troubleshooting on this is bang on, you have tried everything you could realistically try. At this point I would take a much closer look a the connector area on the logic board and look for any signs of damage, for example, a damaged pin or partially dislodged components next to the connector. Use magnification to get an even better look as everything is tiny.

Beyond that, you could have it looked at by a micro-soldering repair shop, most do mail-in repairs. If you are in London, it’s hard to imagine a shop that isn’t accessible via the tube.

There’s usually a reason why you can get an expensive device for dirt cheap. Chances are the previous owner tried to no avail to find the problem as well.

Thanks for your reply, I looked at the connector but only with a magnifying glass and couldn’t see any damage, I doubt there’s anything wrong with it though as the phone seems as if it has never been opened before. As for a micro soldering shop, how much do you think it will cost. I am only 15 and don’t have too much money in fact I only bought the phone to replace the screen and resell it with a box and accessories so I don’t want to be at a loss either.

Thanks a lot for your reply I really appreciate it
