MacBook 2010 unibody with 2012 logic board

Look it’s has been asked before but never answered fully. Every forum talking about this you will hear so many different things. The people who say “Yes it worked like a charm” The people saying “No way dude not gonna happen to many differences” and the inbetween weenys “Yes but not yes, it would be hard and almost impossible.” I’m looking for a solid answer backed with tangible proof like if one says they have done it and it worked then send photos and explain most details. If not tell me what connectors won’t work and why pls be specific this has been on my mind for so long now and if it works it would be my dream to have the classic and nostalgic 2010 polycarbonate body with a powerful cpu.

Dj Jazzyjeff They only sold the plastic MacBooks until 2011, and it wasn't until 2015 that we saw the return of just the "MacBook" (which was a disaster)

Well I’m going to bust your bubble there is no 2012 MacBook, there is a MacBook Pro system (MacBookPro9,2) which is very similar to your 2010 (MacBook7,1). As you can see comparing the logic boards them selfs there is enough differences which just doesn’t make it possible!

Apple had a hiatus with the series. The next one that was produced was in 2015 as a complete redesign and was a 12" vs the older 13" screen.

13" MacBook 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo (Mid-2010) and then 12" MacBook 1.1 GHz Core M (Early 2015)

And here's the MacBook Pro system which is similar 13" MacBook Pro 2.5 GHz Core i5" (Mid-2012)

So the 2.5 ghz core i5 mid 2012 is similar but would it still not work? Btw Dan u have been the most helpful person I’ve seen yet thank you for showing me logic boards and stuff individually

@Dj Jazzyjeff - What you likely saw was older MacBook systems which allowed a few options but that was in Core Duo to Core 2 Duo days.

Nothing for I-Series upgrades from Core 2 Duo. Sadly its a no go for you.
