Hello Lane McIntosh,
often the problem is simply due to dirty contacts. Try to clean the contacts in the card slot and those of the game itself with a cotton swab and some alcohol.
Otherwise, there could be bent contacts in the card slot. Are all pins in the card slot straight and at the same height? Minor corrections can also be made with a needle.
